Fellas I need help.
Bare with me on this. I recently bought a new DVD recorder my old one crapped out and kept reading Copyright protected can not record on this disc but I did not have any problems until recently. So I bought a new one I recorded the Bell Adamek fight on ESPN and Johnson Dawson on Showtime with no problems but when I tried to record Calzaghe Hopkins on HBO it comes up Copyright protected. So I've come to you guys is there any way past this or any certain recorder I could purchase that does not have this Copyright shit.
P.S. I have looked into the analog signal ordeadl but that's gonna be out of the question next year being as you can't get a signal.
So anyone please help me.

Re: Fellas I need help.
Unfortunately. Mostly all the newer stand alone DVD recorder devices have the built in copy protection. You might get lucky of you buy some Chinese knockoff from Walmart or something as most of them were manufactured a while back.
Other than that the only other way to record copy protected shows with a new device is to buy one with a built in hard drive, record it on the hard drive, then transfer the data to your PC to process.

Re: Fellas I need help.
No way to get around it unfortunatly. The digital signal has a copywrite code imbedded. The recorder can not see past the code. There is no way to disrupt the code as it is written into the feed itself.
I know this doesn't help but...:-\
