Re: Famous Boxer You Seen/Met On The Streets
I met Michael Brodie in a shopping centre in Manchester, a few weeks later I met Amir Khan in the same place, both were really nice guys, also saw Ricky Hatton in a night club in Wigan when he was in all of his full blown 175lb glory! He's a fat little fucker :)
Re: Famous Boxer You Seen/Met On The Streets
I met Toney too in a hotel souvenir shop, he was buying candy bars. No lie.

I saw Jeff Fenech near where i work, i went up to him to say hello and shake his hand and i'm sure he thought i was a cop! He was ok, Kostya Tszyu was staying at the hotel above from where my shop is in Melbourne before the Leija fight. I met him and a number of his crew during his stay. All good people, I asked about DLH, and Mosley fights and the answer was always "we tried to get it happening but Politics in boxing is worse than the real thing"
KT wanted Floyd as early as 2002 but the Showtime HBO thing was the drawback.
I have a friend who has met and has autographs signed in front of him (not bought ) by Ali, Frazier, Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Rocky Graziano, Tony Zale, Tony Galento, SRR, Emile Griffith, Floyd Patterson and Mickey Walker!! He has over 2000 sports autographs all of whom he has met. If anyone knows where Ruben Olivares is, he needs him for his collection!! He will travel to Mexico!

Re: Famous Boxer You Seen/Met On The Streets
I fist pound with Andre Berto in Pechanga Resort & Casino.
Re: Famous Boxer You Seen/Met On The Streets
Kostya ,Sam Soliman, Vic Darchinian on seperate times.
My mate went to meet Rocky Marciano at the airport when he came out here once.
Re: Famous Boxer You Seen/Met On The Streets
Haha James Toney has been seen at a cigar shop, a candy shop and at a buffet, that's hilarious :lolololol:
The only thing I could possibly find funnier than that is if Danny Williams has been seen walking out of a bakery with a chocolate eclair ;D
Re: Famous Boxer You Seen/Met On The Streets
I saw Frank Bruno as I was on my break pull up outside my workplace in his Bentley. Didn't really speak to him, he seemed really shy and timid. As he walked past us he was like 'Hi, you alright?' me and my boy replied 'hey alright' and that was that! :) This was about 2001 I think.
Not as fun as catching James Toney buying a candy bar unfortunately!
