Anyone heard or come across the 'slip/swing rope '?
I have recently bought a Mike Tyson DVD, and you see him training with a peice of rope with a weight on the end swinging back wards and forwards. Whilst that is happening Tyson is standing face on moving his head side to side avoiding the rope, and then he takes a diagonal jump forward. Now I know the aim of this is to practice moving his head, but i was not sure what the diaganol jump was for, and if anyone has come across this swing rope exercise before.
I am quite short for my weight, and I was just so impressed with Tysons head speed as well as his obvious strenghs.

i dont advise it, smashing yourself in the face with a weight is ovverated
aswell as grotesquely painfull
Re: Anyone heard or come across the 'slip/swing rope '?
plus its a little hard to get training tips from tyson as it depends on how old the dvd is but he did some pretty hardcore training exercises

Hard core training is what i want. The weight wasnt heavy, just enough to keep it swinging.
Re: Anyone heard or come across the 'slip/swing rope '?
the weight is for it 2 keep it swinging. not 2 hit u
