Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I (Edit)
Great news for the American public!
I hear Showtime will be showing the original fight with English commentary. This will be the first time (other than the youtube crap) this side of the world gets to see this 'historic' battle. I do not have the dates of this replay, but I will post them here when I find out.
Re: Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I
any chance one of our beloved american posters will up it in the file sharing thread???
Re: Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I

Tickets are as low as $50 and still great viewing seats.
Room at the Hard Rock are over $300, but there are a ton of hotels 2 miles away near the Ft Lauderdale airport you can stay at for under $100.
This should be a crazy fight to be at, I would try to make the trip for sure!

Why don't you just watch it when it comes out?
Re: Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I

This thread is in reference to the first fight that happened in 2006. Up until now it was not allowed to be seen in America. Showtime (who also is showing the upcoming rematch) has been allowed to show the first fight to help promote #2. It has never been shown on this side of the pond or with English commentary.

Are you going to be at the fight? Also were you looking on ticket master when you saw good seats were around $50? I've never been to a fight at the hardrock down there and was wondering what section you would recommend thats good seating and still reasonably priced?

For the best $50 seats I would sit in section 204. These price seats start at row K and there were still some available in that row last week.
There are 43 seats in these rows, so you are better off getting seat #'s 15-30 so you have a more center shot at the ring (seats #21 and #22 are dead center). Good luck!
Re: Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I (Edit)
Good news.
If anyone wants a sig bet I'm saying right now Miranda is getting knocked out again.
Re: Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I (Edit)
Man I don't see how Abraham kept fighting, his jaw really looked awful.......it would even bother your breathing I would think.
What does that (Edit) mean? Surely they aren't going to edit the fight, like the shady ass part?

You mean the parts where Miranda lands a clean body shot and Abraham turns his back to walk away and the ref stops the fight and penalizes Miranda for a low blow???
Or when Abraham quit and the ref waived off the fight, then changed it and had them start fighting again???
5 points deducted?? You ever hear of that without a disqualification? Seriously, 3 clear low blows gets a guy disqualified. There was one legitimate point deduction for the headbutt, even though it didn't have any effect on the fight he should have been penalized.

Nice summary... but the ref never offically waived off the fight. The Doctor told him to, the fighter said he wanted to quit. Neuman says "So that's the fight, right?" to the doctor. Then he dicusses who should win. First he says "Go to the cards". Then he admits the headbutt did not cause the injury. He still tries to push "Lets go to the cards". This of course makes him lose the basic rules of boxing since the injury did not cause the foul. When he realizes he cant get away with that, he says "He loses two points (refering to Miranda) but he wins by TKO".....
Finally, after all this discussion, they realize the only right call is Miranda wins the fight by TKO. Now he goes back a allows Wilred Saulerland to make the call as to what to do. Sauerland insists the fight continue so Randy Neuman allows it.
So, yea, basically Neuman calls the fight and then allows it to continue.
Only in Germany!
Re: Showtime will show Miranda vs Abraham I (Edit)
That was a great fight. Miranda really showed his power in that bout and Abraham showed what a great chin he posessed. I can not wait until the second one.
