Hatton-Malignaggi virtually confirmed
Ricky Hatton's next fight will be against Paulie Malignaggi for the IBO and IBF light-welterweight titles, reports BBC Radio Merseyside.
Hatton's father and manager, Ray, confirmed a deal has been agreed.
"We did the deal before the last fight. Malignaggi had to win and he got through with a win but broke his hand," Ray Hatton said.
"That fight is likely to happen in November. Where it's going to be we just don't know at the moment."

We got a phone call from Floyd Mayweather's people congratulating us on a great job done

Malignaggi retained his IBF light-welterweight title with a split-decision points victory over Lovemore N'dou on the undercard of Hatton's victory over Juan Lazcano.
Hatton senior feels Malignaggi's hand injury should present few problems.
"Once they've fought, they have about eight weeks off," he said. "By the time Malignaggi goes back in training the injury will be alright - it happens in a lot of cases."
He also revealed that following the fight he received a call from Floyd Mayweather's handlers.
"On the Sunday I was out with my grandson and we get a phone call from Floyd Mayweather's people congratulating us on a great job done, a tricky fight out of the way. "'Give our best and we'll talk. That was a call out of the blue, which is very, very nice that less than twenty four hours after the fight they're on the phone saying, good job, great show."

Re: Hatton-Malignaggi virtually confirmed
Nothing is easy with Hatton, if you break both of his arms and blind him he'd still come back for more guns blazing.

Oh man,who cares. I'll be rooting for Paulie because as you guys know,I don't want to see a Hatton Floyd rematch Mismatch but both of these guys have looked poor as of late.
Hatton:
KTFO by Floyd.Hardly anyone saw that coming. He baresly won a round.
Scraped past Luis Collazo.
Looked poor v Urango and decent at best v a semi retired Lazcano.
Paulie:
Lucky to get the decision v Ngoujdou and looked poor v Ndou.
I think if Paulie uses his footwork,he can trouble Hatton and I don't see Hatton stopping Paulie. Not really a fight I'm looking forward to though, going by the above.
