What Cus DiAmato Had Trained Tua?
I was watching clips of David Tua and he possesed very similar tools as Tyson. Power, Speed, he was even built a lot like him. His problem imo was he didnt get inside enough and throw enough combinations. I think if Cus had trained him throughout his career especially early on, hypothetically of course, he would have been even more devistating and probably would have been one of the great heavyweight champions. This could have never happened of course because Cus woud have ben gone very early in his career but I can only imagine if he fought with his technique how he would have excelled. Personlly I think his left hook was one the most devestating punches in the divisions history.
Re: What Cus DiAmato Had Trained Tua?
Good question. I actually thought about this before, but one think about Cus' "peak-a-boo" style is that you have to be extremely athletic because it requires alot of hip movement, and even though Tua matches up well with Tyson as far as power and size, I'm not so sure he was as athletic as a prime Tyson to where he could move his upper body as fast, upper body being his hips moving side to side and moving his head in a circle as well as Mike.

What match said, Tyson's style required Tyson's speed which Tua didn't have. I think Tua definitely could have used some defensive fine tuning regardless, and an appropriate diet regiment
