Are there any movies you've watched that, while they were good, could have better under certain circumstances?
One for me is Mummy, and espcially Mummy Returns. When the 1st movie started out, it was more like a horror movie. But toward the middle and later on closer to the ending, it becomes more like an action movie. It was better when it was a HORROR.
The Punisher....both of them weren't violent or dark enough but they had the right guys playing The Punisher.
Ummm....I'm not so sure about other films...I'll have to think about it longer
I watched the first hour of Vantage Point and thought this isn't a bad idea then,without warning the movie goes down the crapper! Did everyone connected with the screenplay all have a heart attack at the same time and could not continue writing the script? So they brought in a seven year old to complete it. Probably the same juvenile delinquent who wrote the screen play for Deception. I was deceived alright!!
Titanic and the Passion of Christ could have had better endings.

Also Rambo IV, seems like it ended a bit too quick. And there weren't any very good actors either, like Troutman, the police chief in the 1st movie, and that other guy in the 2nd movie (forgot his name, but he's the one that orders everyone to abort the rescue mission when he finds that there are actual prisoners in the camp Rambo has been sent to take pictures of).
I still think I Am Legend's alternate ending is better than the original version.
The only problem with the alternate ending is there was still no cure. He should have gotten the blood sample from the woman he was treating, chucked the grenade at the vampires (or whatever they would be called), and jumped in that chute with the woman and boy, and THEN the alternate ending could have picked up from there. (where it shows them walking at the end).Quote:
