Walter Estrada vs. Kevin Mitchell for the WBO Inter-Continental super featherweight title. This fight is one of the undercard fights in the Pavlik-Lockett card. Do you know these boxers? ;)

Wow I never thought Pavlik would be a pound under. Cool. I bet he is slamming food and carbs like crazy.

Williams is a damn freak, how in the hell does he come in at 145? I just hope he wasn't starving himself too much and has more energy this time around. Carlos looked readyy PW a little anxious. Forrest looks angry ;D and Mora to me looks scared. He doesnt look at Forrest much does he?

Re: Weigh in photos: Pavlik, Lockett, Forrest, Mora, De Leon, Lopez, Quintana, Willia
Williams must hurt himself real bad to make the weight., I don't see him lasting at 147 for long although I hope he hangs around long enough so Margarito can knock his ass out in a rematch.
Plenty of top fights tonight, should be alot of action!!! I think Mora has a better chance than most give him. Vernon has looked good v walking corpses like Baldo and Piccirlio(guys heading to their 40s).
Pavlik v Lockett will be exciting...until Locket gets stopped.
Juanma v Ponce=fight of the night.

Naw, sorry to tell you this, but Sergio is not scared, I just talked to his cousin, and he said Sergio is extremely relaxed, calm, and ready to go.
I'll tell you about something that happened after the weigh-in last night, that makes me wonder about Vernon's mental state.
Sergio's friends, and family were standing at the casino bar, when Vernon and his two goons walked by, and they all started telling their one friend called Napo to say something to Vernon, because he has no trouble mouthing off. So Napo said to Vernon "Hey Vernon, I hope you shine that belt up real nice for us to take back to LA". So I guess Vernon turned around and said something, then walked away.
The next thing they know, Vernon did a u-turn, and came right up on Napo, and they got into a stare down. LOL!!
So how mentally focused is Vernon, if he is going to let something as little as that bother him. :dontknow:
I know a lot of you guys don't like Sergio, but he's not the cocky a$$hole that you think he is. If you don't believe me, you can ask Daxx when he comes back. As you know, he didn't care for Sergio either, but he didn't know him either. Well Daxx told me that after he had the chance to talk to Sergio, he realized that he was wrong in his perception of Sergio, and that he was surprised at how nice, and honest he is.
You guys may not like him, and you may want him to lose, but I wish you guys wouldn't wish harm on him, because he really is a great guy, and he's been a great friend to me.

I'm with you Diane. Doug Fischer is my fave writer in the world and tells it like it is and he calls on Mora how he sees it. A gu who has looked HORRIBLE in his last 2 fights but has a lot of potential. As for him being arrogant blah blah blah, it's up to boxers what they do and how they carry themselves. I give Mora a good shot at beating Vernon, if he is as motivated and driven as I've heard.

Yeah, you and I have already discussed our mutual admiration of Doug and Steve. ;)
And I think it was great of Doug to pick Sergio to win. And you're right, Doug called it correctly, but Sergio has been honest enough to admit it's true as well. He knows it, and he's admitted that his heart wasn't there. But after talking to him, I hear the old Sergio again. He is definitely motivated for this fight.
I know that he will give it his all, and that he will fight his heart out. That's all I can ask of him.
Are you a paid member there? Did you see the video interview Doug did with Sergio?

I don't know anything about Mora, but I hope he wins, because Vernon's new tough guy act is lame.
