~ My Scorecard for Mora vs. Forrest ~
Here's my scorecard for the fight.
I should note that rounds 3 & 4 were pretty much a "coin toss". I thought those 2 rounds were the closest of all and really could have gone either way. But in the end I made a choice and moved on. I hate, I repeat I hate scoring even rounds.
Forrest: 1,2,3,4 12 = 113
Mora: 5,6,7,8,9,10,11 = 115
I thought Mora swept all of the middle rounds the last round was even coming into the last seconds until Forrest landed the big right hand in the exchange at the end.
Anyone else have a scorecard? :)

Ummm something like...
1,2,3,4,5,6,12 to Forrest
7,8,9,10,11,12 to Mora
I thought Mora only had one big moment in round 6 and didn't give him a round until the 7th and that was being objective despite my strong dislike for Mora.

I had Mora winning by 3. Nullified Vernon's jab. Fought better on the inside. Threw more. Landed more.NO WAY Vernon won that(just in case anyone thinks he did). HUGELY impressed by the Latin snake.

115-113 was how I had it. Mora won. Vernon just flat out sucked. He didn't take Mora seriously and he paid the price.
The only thing that impressed me about Mora was his jab, and I guess his chin, too. The jab won him the fight, and he took Forrest's shots better than I expected. He was missing or barely landing 90% of the those Calzaghe-style slappy combos, but his jab really impressed me and he fought a very smart fight. The jab was sharp, effective, and kept Forrest off balance. I was shocked because Mora looked so bad against Ayala and Forrest looked very good against Baldomir. Vernon shouldn't have taken him lightly and come into the fight so out of shape.
This fight reminded me a little of Hopkins/Calzaghe. Mora would throw a six punch combo, barely landing anything and Forrest would counter with a clean right. The difference was Mora used his jab well. All the other stuff was slappy, showy garbage, but I gotta give a fighter credit for controlling the fight, "ring generalship" or whatever.
