ThurNF - Anthony Peterson & Vanes Martirosyan!!!

Alright fellars for those of us who are LUCKY enough to get the VS channel. We've got ourselves a nice little card here with some good prospects some might say Anthonys borderline 'contender' now...

Looks like they probably throw in the Miguel Garcia fight as a warm up.
I've read somethings on the kid and he's Roberto Garcias younger bro.
Roberto better known for being a respectable contender himself in the 90's and went on to become a world champ. who fought Corrales & Casamayor.

Don't know if you were here still or maybe I told you. But I saw Vanes fight in Jan. out here in Los Angeles. He looked OK, to me a bit sloppy at times but nonetheless he got the job done. Hopefully he's made the adjustments and we'll see tonight.

Why the hell this is on versus makes no sense to me but i'll order up the channel for tonight then call tommorow and say one of the kids did it on accident. I'm not quite sure how i rate either of the petersons since i really haven't seen either of them fight someone where i was wondering who was gonna win, but they are both very good against the guys they've been in with and fun to watch...

The two "opponents" are game fighters that have delivered upsets before. Trejo didnt look good last time out getting a pretty bad shoulder injury from a shot Bobby Pacquiao landed on him. Its been awhile since that fight so he may have fully recovered. Martirosian is actually stepping up a bit even though Hernandez' record looks average, he's fought and gone the distance with some top guys, most notably Winky. He's got a good chin and should give Vanes a good test. If Vanes knocks this guy out thats saying something. Don't know anything about the third fight but it looks like 2 prospects which is always interesting.

Looking forward to it, I don't care much about Vanes and I'd bet large amounts of cash that he won't even sniff P4P lists but I'm a huge fan of Anthony Peterson.

Trejo really isn't that bad, I remember him stopping Santa Cruz and apparently he did pretty well against Urbano Antillion. Didn't see the Bobby Pac fight.

The Armenian kid has only been fighting pro for three years. He is still working on things and learning on the job.
Besides, he is with Top Rank and that is the way Top Rank opperates ;D
