ITV,SKY,SETANTA or BBC.......Who gets Khan? - Interesting read
Will the BBC snatch him off all? Or will Setanta take on board yet another UK fighter?
ITV have spent sh*tloads on Champions league Football,F1 and the FA Cup but must know he's a mega attraction ratings wise... Sky on the other hand have simply Lost it i feel.
I'll go for Setanta personally....
Khan could spark TV scramble U K f i g h t n e w s . c o . u k

I feel Setanta would offer him a good contract deal to wet his juices:lickish:.Setanta have delivered pretty good fighting contracts lately, with the likes of Calzaghe,Haye,so their must be offering good money to have them contracts with great boxers!I've been with Setanta for 12months now and i have'nt looked back!;)

I dont live in England anymore so where he goes to isnt that much of a concern. But, it would be good if ITV or BBC could get him.
Boxing lost quite a bit of popularity after satellite TV the norm, and boxing needs national TV to become mainstream again.
Since SKY, boxers often became cult sportsman rather than the massive household names that they were just 10-15 years ago. Look how many of the general public barely knew who Calzaghe was until after the Lacy fight.

The more boxing on terrestrial tv in UK, the better.
There's a whole generation of kids missing out on boxing.

yes will be a shame if the masses who watch on terrestrial tv don't get to follow his career on satellite and miss him getting sparked when he fights a top ten opponent.

Sky have the best broadcast team so i hope he goes with Sky (anywhere away from John Rawling)
I also think Sky needs to bring big time boxing back to SkySports it has a huge budget.

This wont have too much bearing compared to whether one of showtime or HBO decide to take him on.
Thats where the real money is made in this sport. If you aint on either of those 2 channels you aint nothing!

Sky would worm him onto PPV within 5 minutes. Funk that.

whats the point if all ITV are gonna do is start their coverage 5minutes before the fight, show an annoying short montage vid and then serve up the main event quicker than you can say "audley harrison".
No generation of fans are gonna buy into that
setanta is the future for british boxing and the generation of potential stars within this country.
Though i do worry if he does sign for them along with calzaghe, haye etc it`ll be turning what needs to be a competitive market into a very one sided one!

I would rather see a fight for free without any build up than pay 20 quid a pop just to watch a few fighter interviews and the odd studio guest talking about the fight. It would cost a fortune if I had to pay for evry decent fight that I wanted to see.

sky wouldnt of been able to sell khan-gomez for ppv even if they promised to have angelina jolie in the studio shooting ping pong balls out of her snatch.
Much more cleverer than that, if they wanna make money off khan fighting a nobody they`ll do the exact same thing they did with hatton/naz and stage it in the us selling it as their big american debuts.

Sky have sold worse PPVs than that.
Neither Hatton or Naz made their headlining Sky PPV debut in the States.

Think setanta have a good cahnce because of the warren deal but agree with soe above posters I do feel (however poor) boxing in the uk does need some decent fights on terrestrial tv to keep its profile up.
