Steven Luevano dispose to give the Rematch to Mario Santiago......

After of Controversial draw that had with Luevano last Saturdays , Santiago sent a letter to WBO for asking an evaluation to permit him to challenge again for the 126 pnd. Championship.........
Bob Arum " Luevanos Promoter " commented yesterday that they deserve a rematch , Luevano by the way said that he is dispose to give the rematch , despite that he feels that won the fight , he doesn't know when would be , but that depend on Bob Arum to put the Date for fight.......

Luevano commented: " I don't have any preference in when and where , when Arum get the Date and the place , we could make the second fight , " Two of judges gave him the last two rounds and don't feel that this is the case , that was a close fight and i underestimated a bit to Santiago , i thought that he would going to make pressure in the fight , but made the contrary , he just Boxed , Santiago shown me that he is a good boxer and has all of my Respects ".........................

Im glad to see boxer with that kindness and respects .............;D

I hope the fight does get made sometime this year.
I think Santiago beats Luevano.

One thing I should mention again is when Santiago decided to box he was actually loosing the rounds on my card cause he talked more then actually boxed and I think that's what cause him the fight in the end.

All in all it's a win-win situation for both guys.

I agree Mick , but i think if Santiago would pressure more the end of the fight , probably he would looks much better , also in the second round he got careless receiving the same Kdown that gave to Luevano , theres some flaws that Santiago should correct it.............:cool:

I think Santiago should have spent more time fighting then talking and then maybe he could have won the fight. He made a rookie mistake and lost focus at the task in hand hopefully he will learn from this.

I hope the rematch gets made soon, Santiago deserves one & the fight was very entertaining but I think Luevano wins.

I actually think that was the best fight on the card.....Luevano went in trying to prove a point with coming forward and really leaving it all in there.Santiago showed great movement and skill set but As Mick has mentioned.....Dude has to focus and quit the Comedy quips.Really a top notch fight in need of a rematch.Both guys left hands were lasered it seemed.In the end I had Santiago up buy about three points with Luevano coming on strong in the 11 & 12th.
