Jhonny Gonzalez is gonna be fighting on the undercard of Penalosa vs. Rocha here is Arizona. Could this be setting up a possible rematch? This fight is scheduled to be aired on Telefutura's Solo Boxeo on 8/1/08. Gonzalez has a busy year already jumping in the ring 3 times racking up a 2008 record of 3-0-0 (3 KOs) in the first half of the year. Although admittedly it was against lesser opposition, he has shown himself to be more focused and honing in his devastating power.

Gonzalez is an easy fit in higher Division.....On a semi tear but I think Penalosa will Take rematch....In similiar fashion :-X
I guess GBP will scrap the August 1 Penalosa-Rocha fight in favor of Penalosa-Mares fight as undercard of Sept. 13 Casa-JMM main event. The Casa-JMM fight needs good undercard in order to sell.
Good to see Jhonny staying busy.
Would like to see Jhonny fight anyone of the title holders late 09.
Caballero would be excellent match up.
Jhonny actually looks good at Superbantam, but he just can't take what Israel has to administer and I'd say Rafael and Molitor could have him too.
If he waits maybe 3 more fights Israel could fade quickly though and he could ask for a rematch.
He actually had a lot of success against Izzy in their fight he was in control easily for the first 5 rounds. Jhonny is still relatively young and has time on his side if it comes to a rematch I give him a chance against anyone at 122.Quote:
