Tasmanian

Any of you guys heard of them, I guess the last one of them died 1876. They we're exterminated, genocide style. Do you guys know any other group of people thats been extinct? I know the holocaust took as much as 12 million or so people but is there any other group of people thats been taken out besides the Tasmanians?

I thought this thread was goign to be about the Tasmanian tiger which is extinct supposedly now.

I was born in England so Im hanging shit on myself here too.

Our Ancestors killed and hunted the Tasmanian Aboriginals into extinction.
Truganini thae last woman of the race died when you said in a white hostal.
They were a bit darker skinned i belive than the mainlanders different language different skills etc cause Tassie is like wales to look at and same climate,the rest of australia gets more dry and barren the fiurhter north you go,inland is desert that'll kill you ,not many/any aboriginal's out there in the middle even in the old days.
Our forefathers tried to buy land off them for beads and the usual crap you fairly exchange for land:rolleyes:.
Anyway the Aboriginals said ,"IT is your land!" Its not ours to swap.Its everyones right,graze it ,build on it, there more over there and there ;we'll use that ,see you guys later ,we'll be back in a year or more when the season brings us back around to here."
Meanwhile the English send word home that these people cant be bargained with. So in order to get around the amansety that England Portugal, Spain France and the other conqering counties had drawn up in the fair trade agreement of that time for "colonizing" I think they called it.
The English claimed sovereinty of Australia and wrote a law stating that Aboriginals were classed as flora fauna ,not human ,and that made it legal to hunt and eradicate them.:eek:
This dehumanization and law was only lifted from them by the Australian goverment in the early 80's I belive by Paul Keating the then primeminister.

yes, some pretty cold shit indeed... To believe humans can pass a law that gives right to kill off another human being based on colour... Infact a huge insult just to be classes as Flora Fauna... The only word that can be used is "shame"
