Can anybody tell me a little more about Reid. Never seen him fight, but I heard he's a pretty solid fighter who almost beat Calzaghe. I also heard he's got solid boxing skills, pretty decent power, a good chin, but he's a little lazy. Is that right or wrong. Lacy's strong and totally relentless with a good chin but he's got some horrible habits like laying on the inside with his left hand down by his side. This is a poll but also I'm interested in people's impressions of Reid.
Reid is an verage fighter but this would be a walk in the park for lacy
I've heard all of the same things as the original poster about Reid. He should be pretty good to have actually beaten Calzaghe. I never used to like Lacy but after his hard fought battles with Omar Sheika and Vanderpool I respect him and like him. He is tough. I am going to go with Lacy, he is similiar to a 168 lb Tyson but minus the mental problems. Lacy by KO.

Sheika got battered when he was more capable against Joe, and reid took all Joe could dish out and deserved the descision.
Reid is also a pretty good stylist, yet again deserving the descision v Ottke, genuinly flooring the defensively adept Sven in the sixth but not getting awarded a knockdown.
I think Lacy is along with Taylor a good hype job, Reid will should have a bit too much of everything for Lacy, in fact Ill go with a mid round stoppage win for Reid
Did sheika have to go to England to fight Calzaghe? yes, so subtract a few points of accomplishment for that win. Just watch how hagler won the title over there and the honorable Englishmen's reaction to see how they treat challenger's over there. lol Also Calzaghe is a better boxer than Lacy for sure, but is he as exciting to watch? No. Does he hit as hard? no. I will agree with you about the hype thing with Taylor though.

Lacy hits fukkin HARD! That, stamina, and a good chin can always pull out the fight. He can also a box a little when he wants too as well.
