Just please don't give us Cortez for this fight, that would be the worst thing to do.
I DO NOT want to see Nady or Cortez. I don't mind Bayless, but I really want to see Tony Weeks. I believe he is the best out of all the Vegas referees. He is underated.
I have news for you all. Saddo has the best fans in the sport. I just thought this: we have threads about who we would prefer to ref a particular match. :D
I think the ref is this match is going to be very important. Particularly for a Cotto fan such as myself, I don't want to see a premature stoppage if Margarito manages to hurt/drop Cotto.Quote:

I'd rather have Smoger for this one, too. I have a feeling there will be some hurting going on in this fight - on both sides.
Smoger is the right man for this. He lets them go on but no one has ever been killed with him. He has never called a fight premature like Cortez. If he waves it off the guy is usally motionless slumped over cold. The only time I thought he should have ended it a little earlier was with Pavlik Miranda on the Taylor - Spinks undercard. Miranda could have really been hurt. Margirito and Cotto are sluggers and I want a ref who will let the beatings happen. I want Cotto to win badly but margirito is soooo busy that might overwhelm Cotto. I hope this will be the begining of the next Gatti Ward with belts or LaMatta Robinson. I have a feeling this will be a fight for the ages and I dont want a ref to blow.
