Koki Kameda Fighting in Mexico This Weeknd
Was just looking at the undercard for JCC Jr. - Vanda and saw that not only Ulises Solis and Glen Donaire is on there but Koki Kameda is fighting out of Japan for the first time. That's big news to me.
I've really become a fan of Kameda as I've tried my hardest to catch up with the lower weights. Fighting a nobody really but Kameda is a pitbull, very exciting fighter.
Will be sad to watch him fight without the aid of Japanese commentary which adds to the fights tremendously but oh well. Had a bit of a rough go and should have lost to Landaeta but beat him in a rematch. Great guy to watch they are going to love him in Mexico. Glad to see him on American TV finally, or at least halfway to American TV, spanish language American TV. But even better, I get Azteca America which means I will be able to watch these instead of downloading them later like I have to do with Telefutura bouts.

That is a good step too bad the guys he's fighting is 30-12 with 7 loses by TKO and is coming off a loss vs. a guy who was 0-5. :-X
I know your high on him VD, but I just don't see greatness from him.
The only good thing that Koki has is that the Fly div. looks to be passing the guard. Sakatas out, Nonitos moving up, Narvaez is getting up there...
It'll be a new class of fighters.

I don't know if he will dominate the division but he certainly brings more excitement then most fighters in boxing. Love watching him fight.
Why is Sakata out? Looked pretty good against Parra to me.

Sakatas on his way out IMO, Parra was early 2007.
Have you seen him lately?
He's looked far from that he looks slow and ploddy. Haven't been impressed with him at all in his last fights.

I didn't know, I thought that was early this year ??? Again, completely out of touch with the lower weights, trying as hard as I can. That's right, Parra fought Celesitino early this year right? Or maybe more recently. Ok, maybe I should get around to boxrec.

I agree. The age and the wars are starting to catch up to him
