Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
Amir Khan says he needs an american trainer.
Lets hope he doesnt get Buddy Mgcirt.
Four years as a pro and he's only at Commenwealth title level and getting knocked down on a regular basis.
Khans an avarage talent who will fail to win a European title.
Warren doesnt want to step him up cos he's his main meal ticket.

Khan is only 21 years old. That's still very very young. It doesn't matter how many years he's been pro. If he had turned pro at 22 and still wasn't a titleholder after 4 years, that would be an issue, but that's not the case here.
It is a red flag that he's getting knocked down, but it's important to note that when he's gotten knocked down, he's picked himself up and knocked out his opponent.
Khan has work to do, but he still has the potential to be a great fighter.

"Khans an average talent" :o
Put down the pipe son really!!!
Khan is the most skilled prospect in world boxing, he just dont have a chin.
If that kid had a chin he would be one of the best of his era that kid has SKILLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSS
Re: Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
Give the lad a break he is only 21.He doesnt seem to have a very good chin but i think give him abit more time with the way he is learning he can tighten up his defence and will generally improve as a fighter.I agree with Frank Warren in this case with Khan he isnt ready for a world title, but to just yet and ease his way up in the ranking fighting better fighters theres no rush with him.
Re: Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
I think he needs a mans body and chin as opposed to a boys, and then he can be something.
No world title shot at the moment please

You disagree Khan has the best skills out of any world talent.
Please brainiac let us know who has more natural skill than Khan!
Dont say Gamboa he clearly has less skill and at 27yo he is not upncoming.

Not agreeing with him about average talent, but the euro champ at the weight who battered Thaxton looked pretty decent, and I'd give him a fair shot against Khan. Warren should line him up before christmas, he's a step up, but not a stupid huge step like going i with a Nate, Pac, Casa.
Re: Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
Yea to be fair kahn is only 21, he still has time to improve.
Re: Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
i think he should move up. he might improve on his chin like cotto did.
Re: Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
Cotto moved up cause he found it really hard to make the weight and it told the later a fight went on.Khan can make the weight fine at the moment and if he moves up the hit alot harder again so i would improve his defence before he goes up a weight.

Yeah i see where you're coming from but Romanov is exceptionally good for euro level. He's probably as good as Kotelnik is at 140 and he's wba champ.
I don't think Thaxton offers much other than fitness and likeability to be honest so i wouldn't read too much into that win. IMO Hatton's win over Thaxton was even more dominant and he was much younger and he fought a primer John Thaxton.
I'd give Khan big respect if he fought Romanov. I think Khan would win but he'd have to fight smart.
Re: Amir Kahan the long road to nowhere
Thats the problem He cant Fight smart. Hes been about long enough to know Why, What and When but doesnt.

Con's actually a great talent. With a below average chin
