If you had the opportunity to beat an up-and-comer everyone was talking about and capture a title in the process, wouldn't you take it? In the end I say Forbes gets beaten up on his way to a UD loss, but it should look pretty for the first half or so.

Steve Forbes has just come off a defeat to De La Hoya in a fight he never looked like winning, but still performed far better than I (and a lot of others I expect) ever expected he would do!
So to me this fight would be perfect for both fighters , for Berto to fight a former world champion with experience but little chance of beating him and a chance to improve his skills even further and for Forbes who would have absolutely nothing to lose and should he pull off the upset, set himself up for another massive payday in probably boxings best division at the moment.
This is a good fight for Berto at this stage. I just hope Forbes doesn't come in like a sparring partner again. If Forbes can get his output up and take a few more chances it has the possibility of being very competitive.
I don't know that I've seen Berto fight a pure boxer yet.
Its an interesting fight. I'd like to see Berto against a guy with some power but this isn't bad. Berto probably by decision.
