Roberto Duran on the Punch Bag
We all now, that the great Hands of Stone, Manos de Peidra Duran is a Legend.
I was down my friends house last night and he got an old VHS tape with Duran on the speed bag and he was so good, but what really took me back was that he was working the bag with his head as well, never seen that before, totally amazing.
oh and his skipping was out of this world!

That he trained? I certainly never would have imagined. It is cool to work your head into the speed bag, sometimes when I mess around on it I'll get it going fast then stop punching and try to slip side to side and dodge it.

He did the head thing to work on his defense.
Durans mostly known for his offense work but what a lot of people fail to see is how great he was also as a defensive fighter.
It is old news but still something amazing. So don't be too bothered over the few replies and only views this one time I spent about an hour typing a topic and all. I think I only got like 3 replies it's just that sometimes people read things and just don't have something to add to it.
It happens...
Re: Roberto Duran on the Punch Bag
Duran is a legend and is the best defensive fighter ever at coming forward too much emphasis are based on his losses to the fab 4 but if you watched the man at lightweight he truly was incredible i loved the way he took apart hiroshi kobayashi
Re: Roberto Duran on the Punch Bag
I was a fan when I saw him destroy Esteban De Jesus on an old ESPN programme. Vicious and brutal boxer/fighter.
Re: Roberto Duran on the Punch Bag
Thanks for the replies, Durans efforts against the Fab 4 were when he was past his prime, but yet he's the only one to beat Leonard AND take Hagler the full 15, past his peak but still amazing.
What amazes me even more is we have modern fighters (who I love to bits) like Cotto and Margarito who train well and keep in good shape and really don't go out and get drunk, the same certainly could not be said for Duran, but yet he still was out of this world.
Trully blessed!
