Arena Box-Promotion is no longer affiliated with the German Boxing Commission !!!
Arena bolts from BDB!
Arena Box-Promotion is no longer affiliated with the German Boxing Commission (BDB), however CEO Ahmet Oener says it was his decision to leave the commission and that reports are false that the BDB stripped his license. "...this doesn’t affect my business in any way," he said. "I will continue to hold shows everywhere in the world. I don’t need the BDB and their licenses for that. If they don’t want our sanctioning fees I will pay them to some other commission. I don’t care." Unlike the United States, where state or tribal commissions regulate the sport within their juridictions, in Germany promoters can pick and choose between multiple commissions. Universum Box-Promotion and Spotlight Boxing are aligned with the Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer (BDB), Sauerland Event uses the Austrian Boxing Federation (FVA). The Klitschko Brothers' K2 Promotions has utilized both the German Boxing Association (GBA) and the German Boxing Organisation (GBO).
...
Because of recent shady decisions in which Oener played his part and because some people(mainly new members)here stamped it off with typical German behaviour when it comes to manage boxing...I thought I post this for interests sake...
Re: Arena Box-Promotion is no longer affiliated with the German Boxing Commission !!!
Yeah Oener does like to push his hand, although his strange behavior as of late has not taken place in Germany at all.
Next they will have to get rid of Sauerland. Then boxing in Germany will be clean again totally.

It would be great. As I have stated many times, the Germans put on the liveliest boxing shows by far. They can take a decent card, and make it feel like a huge fun event. Nobody else can do that. I for one would love to be part of a live Audience in Germany. Great setup they have. Even Sauerland put on great shows, it is just too bad they are so protective over their own crew.
Maybe taking Abraham to the US has showed a different way of thinking for them. Time will tell.

Why...?!?
Re: Arena Box-Promotion is no longer affiliated with the German Boxing Commission !!!
because he is suggesting that the BDB dont want his business and sanctionaing fees which would mean it was their decision and not his although he claims otherwise
