Canadian super middleweight contender Jean Pascal (21-0, 14 KOs) recently caused Universum boxer Karoly Balzsay (19-0, 14 KOs) and World Boxing Organization a lot of trouble. A few hours before the start of a purse bid in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Team Pascal told the WBO that he doesnt want to fight the #1 ranked Balzsay from Hungary for the WBO interim world title. Universum chief executive officer Stefan Braune had already had left Germany for Puerto Rico when was informed of the matter. "WBO president Valcarcel and I were really upset by that behaviour," stated Braune. "That you don't agree with all circumstances of a bout and you must hold a purse bid it's quite normal. But somebody is ducking such a short time before bidding and getting completely out of the fight, I never heard that before." Balzsay was told that the bout fell through on his 29th birthday and the Hamburg-based fighter is quite disappointed. "If Pascal wants to get to the top he has to face me," stated Balzsay. "So thats why I dont understand him. I was ready to fight. His ducking doesn't help him."

I've never heard of Pascal before he started this sh*t with Miranda...and to this day the only headlines he got were for pulling out off fights...
