Early Career Losses...(Margarito Example)
Just a random opinion...of mine, which I feel make some sense to regarding early losses in a career, I am mainly talking about Antonio Margarito.
I dont like his style, infact I am hypocritical, as I love "boxing", but I do love Tonys style in fights as he is a fighter not a boxer. I enjoy the sweet science, but you cant knock a tear up every now and again.
Anyway, being from the mean streets of Tijuana, and not having really anything about him to take notice of by way of skills, its easy for many people to have look past him when he was younger.
Im sure he wasnt conditioned and have the great Gyms you see Mayweather or Hatton trainging in. As with Hatton, Billy Graham saw him and instantly took him under his wing.
I dont know Tonys background, but you could understand him having to graft and showcase what he can OFFER to boxing. So if he wasnt being trained properly earlier in his career, you could see where these losses would come from.
Obviously someone along the line saw him, liked him and produced what we see today.
So although he has losses on his career, they dont mean as much, or anything at all, unlike his loss to Williams, which is a legit.
Dont get me wrong they are recorded, but I for one used to use the phrase "look how many times Margarito has lost"
It doesnt mean anything.
I have so much respect for the man that is Antonio Margarito, I surely wasnt a fan, but he is a GENTLEMAN aswell.
He has created a buzz back in the boxing World, Antonio Margarito is GOOD for Boxing...
(this coming from a boxing fan who hated him!)

Re: Early Career Losses...(Margarito Example)
Bernard Hopkins opened his career with a loss.
It takes immense self belief to go on and graft as succesful a craeer as Tony and Bernard have having lost early.
Rocky Marciano was beaten several times as an amateur and Semi-Pro, yet he went on and achieved his famous landmark. He epitomises self belief, always "knowing" he would find a way to win."
Israel Vasquez's early career saw him lose twice early. He a was applauded for coming back from these loses in the Ring's most recent issue.
Sugar Ray Robinson lost early to LaMotta - a bad loss too. He went on to be great.

All I can say about you is that you are a bandwagoner lol
I would like to see Tony vs Paul II
Both have peaked in many ways.
This is a fight that has to happen soon.
Cotto vs Margarito is another fight that has to happen soon but it might not be as soon as I would like.
I was here telling everyone years ago that PBF was afraid of Tony and I still think I am right about that. Floyd left the game untested, I have not even heard anything about Floyd and I don't even hear his dumb azz fans saying Floyd will come back  Floyd will not come back while Tony is once again the king of the Welters ;D
Anyway.. Phuk you and your bandwagon ;D And Phuk Floyd's fans who were the ones who really started all this crap about Tony in the first place
PBF and his fans are bad for this sport ;D
BIATCH!
:lickish:
I will root for Tony everytime except against Cotto
;D

and he is such a down to earth guy
Re: Early Career Losses...(Margarito Example)
Geeezusss enough already, why do people say floyd and his fans are so horrible yet anytime a name is used as a benchmark it's always his, the guy is so called "retired" let him stay that way. If floyd were shot and killed in a robbery people would still say he set the whole thing up and killed himself just to avoid margarito. Funniest thing of all is if cotto had won the same thing would be said it'd just be a different name. Hell and to take it furthur the same would have been said if he wouldn't have fought hatton. I so look forward to the day when people can be excited about this stacked division and the current fighters in it without feeling like they have to use floyd's name to make thier own accomplishments seem even better. You ran floyd off ...so what ??!! you thought he was garbage anyway, how bout focusing on fighters these guys consider good insted of making it seem like a big accomplishment that you scared a guy who ducks, cheats, runs, causes colon cancer etc in the first place..........or so they say. I enjoyed floyd more or as much as anyone, but truth be told i'm glad he's gone, floyd's a part of boxing not the sport itself.
