Calzaghe-Jones officially set for Nov. 8
"Super" Joe Calzaghe vs. "Superman" Roy Jones has been officially rescheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Mecca of Boxing, Madison Square Garden in New York City. The superfight, originally scheduled for September 20, was postponed due to an injury suffered by Calzaghe during training. Calzaghe vs. Jones, presented by Square Ring, Inc. and Calzaghe Promotions in association with Madison Square Garden, will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View.
CALZAGHE VS. JONES RESCHEDULED AND SET FOR NOVEMBER 8
About time they made it official. I'm glad it's still at MSG...that means I can still go.
I'm going with Jones in this one.

I'd love to see this. I hope Roy comes out of his shell early. If he's too hesitant I can see him giving this away like the 3rd Tarver fight. Nonetheless, it's not as in the bag for Calzaghe as some think.

Totally agree here, while RJJ is definately not what he used to be, his timning is still phenomenal and that's how you beat speed, I expect a relatively clean close match here.

Calzaghe will walk to a points decision 118-110
Re: Calzaghe-Jones officially set for Nov. 8
C'mon Roy turn back the clock and do a number on this PRICK!
Re: Calzaghe-Jones officially set for Nov. 8
Calzaghe is not a light heavyweight.
He looks smooth at Super Middle and he's not particularly tall or broad. When fighters get old and rich they lack the motivation to get down to their true genetic weight and this could be Calzaghe's undoing.
On a side note, he's lost 80% of any travelling armchair fans by delaying the event and competing with Hatton. Many have already booked for Vegas now and that will impact his turnout i believe.
Not that this will have any impact on Joe. Like his dad recently said, we dont care what the public want - we want to get paid !!
Therefore i hope it fails on every level
Re: Calzaghe-Jones officially set for Nov. 8
Please GOD let Roy win this and go out on top.

I like Joe; but I also hope Jones takes this fight. And I hate to say it, but I almost want him to win just to see Enzo's head explode. I think Jones has one more good one in him.

I have nothing against Joe, but ive been a big fan of Jones forever and think hes a class guy that deserves recognition as one of the (if not the) most talented fighters of all time. This win would be big for his legacy imo.

Is this fight at super middleweight? Roy was weighing close to that his last fight

Thats where he was at his best. When he had serious KO power and speedy combos. When he moved up he had a much more difficult time hurting people.

I agree wit kill face in away over here i've been hearing everyone talking like this is a walk over :ofor calzaghe but i disagree. but its the same for jones in america on thing that does is the way people ride the bandwagon of jones i even had one jones lover talking about the tito fight when all he was, was a ring rusty blown up welterweight i think for the first 4 or 5 rounds it will be competitive but after i believe joe will just out work him jones best bet is to faint the left and then drop the right but how long that will work before joe adapts i dont no but i think this will be decided n any dought joe will be by there engines and im not in any dought joe will be working the same in the 12 as he will in the 1 lets see how the training goes 4 both sides
