< Fighters who you think deserve a title shot >

Alright was looking at some ranking systems and was also looking at future/potential fighters who could capture a title.
With that, the question of "Who deserves a title shot that has NOT fought for a World title before" came to mind. Also not counting some obvious ones that have won title eliminators like Povetkin....

So let's hear it, who do YOU think deserves a title shot and why?
(I'm talking about fighters who have NOT fought for a title before and or who have not fought Eliminator bouts)

Here's some that I think deserve a title shot.

Enrique Ornelas
Jesus Soto Karass
Kevin Mitchell
Francisco Figueroa
Anthony Peterson
Roman Martinez
Abner Mares

Daniel Geale
Sebastian Sylvester
Adrian Diaconu. I think he might have an interim title.
Billy Dib, maybe in a couple of fights.
And altho he has had a shot before I think Monte Barret deserves another shot for KTFO Tye Fields;D

Well every time ive seen him britains John Murray has looked a class act so I'd like to see him get a shot at a title pretty soon. Not sure how he would go on against real top quality opposition like Nate Campbell, Casamayor, Manny Pac etc but he's far too good for his current level of opponent and he will be one that Warren keeps Khan well away from!

Has Mitchell done enough yet to deserve a shot? I think he needs to move towards the european title first

I don't know too much about Mitchell. Don't think much of Figueroa, maybe Ornelas and definitely the bottom three deserve one. Honestly I like Soto Karass but I thought he looked real questionable against Smith and Estrada. Think I overrated him for a bit there.

Well, I think the fact that he's Euro is why he hasn't gotten a shot at a title. I mean he's fought top opposition in his country.
Let's also keep in mind title shots are different in every weight class.
The smaller weights get title shots a lot sooner then the upper weights. I think Kevin deserves one.

I agree Karass has not looked the part lately but he's won and for that alone I think he deserves a shot at a title if not later this yr. early next.

i think arreola not against wald but one of the other two soon to be three (WBAx2) title holders.

I think Arreola is due up for a shot anytime now. Maybe one more fight with a ranked opponent or a prominent name.

What about Dimitrenko? I honestly don't know because I've only read about him.

I thin "Sascha" fought an eliminator bout I'm too sure tho.
But he's def. up for a title shot.

Jamie Moore he's been around for ever and it's now or never time he's 28 in his prime :)

Oh and Tua at heavyweight I don't suppose he deserves one he's been fighting nobodies for a while but I just want him to get one !

Yeah I got you on Frankie Figueroa Cmm my brother.

People are saying and thinking 140 is very shallow right now but it doesnt have to be if they let a couple guys up there and promoters make the right fights.. El Gato is right up there for me.. The only thing i could want from him is to keep taking these fights.. Cause he's getting a couple a year.. but theres alot of talk and not enough fights happening.. he's in camp with the big names and he stays sharp but hes getting the opportunities to fight guys on pretty short notice and hes still getting the wins.. and the names that will make good fights just arent happening.. Nobody wants him.. No Santana.. No Salita

He just got bumped up #4 -WBC and eventually hes going to end up with the bradley fight cause eventually they have to give him his shot..

On another note.. My man.. Gary 'Kid' Stark Jr..

He had himself some tough breaks last year.. He was really up there start o '07.. Confident, skillful.. taking on big bad competition.. and if you know how hard it is to get fights for your undefeated super bantamweight prospect on the East Coast.. then you'd give my guy some dues and props because my man was having to move up, short notice.. take fights at feather weight.. with naturally bigger guys.. just because he dont wana move out to the west coast to get these fights..

So he gets a shot at another undefeated prospect in Mike Oliver ..Gets robbed for the usba title.. and thats the fight that puts him up there.. usba title.. which is of course owned bythe ibf.. up with the rankings.. Eventually gets on the ibf.. that was the way to go.
takes another fight after that, and gets caught.. ko'd.

Since then its just been building back, getting the wins, make the money, avenged the ko loss.. and if he can keep getting these fights then it'l come.. still with more match making problems..

Gary was offered the fight with conception on the cotto - marg undercard..
Nabf title.. 15 grand for 12 rounds.. at that level its chump change.

So they end up paying Carrera 12k when he took the fight..
