Vic fought the Australian legend Jimmy Carruthers twice (1952 - 1953) to become part of Australian Boxing history. He lived in at Camden In NSW Australia (I went to school there a while back) and died in Sydney Australia last Friday.

I think in the past 3-4 weeks about 5-7 boxers have died... :(

Yeah that's right. I thought it appropriate to post as Vic really was a great fighter and it seems the old legends can get overlooked, how easy we forget. I'm not sure if there are too many saddo members who were around in that era (1950's) so i feel it is incumbent upon our current boxing 'community' if you like to remember these legends and make sure the history is not forgotten.
