Slightly Broken Nose?

Me and my sparring partner have been picking up the pace in the last week or so, in preparing for our fight coming this Saturday night. Last week one day I wasn't feeling it, and I got hit pretty hard a number of times. Couple of skid marks off the head, bit of bruising, no biggie...then 2 days later someone points out to me, "Hey...your nose is crooked."

It felt tender. Go and look in the mirror, and sure enough, it is a bit bent right in the center to one side. Hmm. Well I signed up knowing this is part of the deal. Anyway, so I decide to push it the other way that night for a while. Looks like it is back to being straight.

Does this sound right? :dontknow:

i remember breaking my toe the first time in mma, i bent it in directions a toe just shouldn't go my buddy got sick...didn't hurt but was a pain in the ass yes it hurt later... much more pain later...sounds familiar. maybe why my nose has a slight bend in it...

Yeah Blood sounds like the septum was at least shifted a little.

Nothing to worry about if it doesn't restrict your breathing.

Yea...bit of cartilage getting moved about I spose. I remember when I first started, first week I go into the gym with my dad and he points out this dude to me, completely mashed in face...nose basically non-existant. "Take a good look" he says, "and understand the potential consequences..."

Yeah I've seen guys like that too,
its got to be a result of guys fighting wityhout any intelligence.

It simply has to be.

I have a typical boxers nose. It's so crooked I often get comments on it, but I refuse to let the doctor break it again. If it gets broken again, it'll be inside a boxing ring.
