Questions about vintage Camacho
I was watching the Hector Camacho - Edwin Rosario fight today, and I have a few miscellaneous questions. Hopefully, someone can help me.
First of all, what was Hector Camacho's amateur record?
And everyone says the Ramirez fight was Camacho's best fight, but I've never seen it. Can anyone give me any details about what happened in the fight?
Also, does anyone know what the scorecards for the Rosario fight were? Not just the scores but the actual scorecards.
Sort of a different topic, but Larry Merchant used to be a friendly guy, respectful of the fighters. What happened? I miss that guy.
Thanks to anyone with the answers.  :)
Re: Questions about vintage Camacho
I"ll show respect to the questions since no one else seems to not have the time. I got you ;D
1. He was a 3-time Golden Gloves Champ.
Not sure his am career, I'm sure Britkid will tell you.
2. Camcho whipped Ramirez's rear in blinding speed :)
3. It was a Split Decision, dats all I know, and I know one judge had Rosario winning by a round.
4. He woke up one morning and saw a grey hair and it wasn't on his head ;D
Re: Questions about vintage Camacho
83-87 were the golden years of Camacho.
To his credit he took beatings from Trinidad and De La Hoya like a man. And never went down.
