Hopkins at number 10! Hahaha, never thought I'd live to see the day! And Mayweather finally at number 1!!! Boxing just keeps getting more surprising. I don't think Mayweather, a fighter who hasn't fought a super-fight, oustide of Arturo Gatti, deserves such a crown.
As for Hopkins at number 10...Â
When you fall, you fall hard! I didn't think Hopkins' would be disrespected that easily after a loss. ...But you know what? Keep disrespecting and you'll get Disrespected Back!
With all due respect to the "champion," Hopkins, he did beat the hell outta Jermain, physically and most of all... mentally. Jermain isn't the man to dethrone Hopkins, it's a man with talent who is willing to maul Hopkins and willing to take punishment to do it.  Either that or a super fast boxer-counterpuncher. Basically a Mexican or a Mayweather, both would have to be bigger of course.
After the Jermain fight, I thought Sugar Ray Leonard has a chance against Hopkins, but Hagler has a better chance at Hopkins. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

It's a disgrace to even have Hopkins in the top 10, I would never of had that guy near my top 10. 160 has been the worst division in boxing by miles for 10 years now.

thats bullshit he should be at least be #3 and thats at LEAST
boxing needs some kind of commison the can stop shit like that from happinging, and i think the fight was a draw, who ever scored the 12 round for hopkins should be asked to resign as a judge, beacuse thes fucking wrong who ever wrote the for the ring is a fucking idoit and should be culled!

I think Hopkins stock dropped so much because they figure at his age he's not getting any better. Â Though I disagree with the outcome of the Hopkins-Taylor fight, it did show weakness in Hopkins and that weakness is only going to increase (most likely) Â I don't think he should be at #10, but that explains why he dropped so far...

I thought that possibly they should have done something NEW... Â for this situation...
which is Put Jermain at number NINE or SEVEN and have Hopkins STILL HIGHER at number Three for instance. Â Because one win won't put Jermain on top, but one loss won't put Hopkins to far down.

I didn't see ANY weaknesses. I aslo fear Jermain won't be the same either. Hopkins looked beatiful in there and wasn't even tired at the end of the 12th.
The only weakness I saw was Hopkins was taking it easy on the kid. Had Hopkins gone "Balls Out" in the last part of the fight AND threw in a tad more punches in the middle, Taylor would have been either seriously hurt or Knocked Out. Hopkins was being too economical and admiring his own punches, at times.

Marquez earned it by one fight too. Except Hatton's undefeated and Marquez isn't. Not only that, I aslo think Pacquiao beat Marquez on points.
Hatton beat a great fighter, Kostya Tszyu, and fought every second in every round. He wasn't afraid of the incoming onslaught from the p4p power puncher. With that showing, Hatton came closer to greatness than Jermain ever was.

Well Eubank's not the one who many idiots believe is better than Sugar Ray Robinson, are you dumb? Eubank is probably the most hated boxer in the history of the game whereas Hopkins and Jones Jr are grossly over-rated (Sugar Ray Robs would eat them for supper).
