I just can't speak Spanish but I'm pretty sure I can figure out what they mean by "Es Oficial, Mijares-Darchinyan en Noviembre" :-\
Would be a plus if Mick or somebody could say what the rest of it says.
Nice fight (not as nice as a Montiel fight but oh well) assuming it comes off, and its not like I'm surprised to hear this since its been rumored.
Mijares by decision because I'm not lucky enough to see Vic KO'd again.

El duelo entre el mexicano Cristian Mijares y el australiano Vic Darchinyan tendrá que esperar hasta el próximo año, ya que la televisora norteamericana Showtime, que transmitirá el atractivo combate, propuso que se celebrara en enero de 2009.
Los organizadores de la pelea entre Cristian Mijares y Vic Darchinyan, aplazaron la contienda unificatoria hasta enero próximo, aunque se mantiene la sede en Estados Unidos.
La pelea unificatoria ya está firmada, donde el lagunero expondrá sus cintos supermoscas del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB) y la AMB, mientras que el nacido en Armenia pondrá en juego su faja de la Federación Internacional de Boxeo (FIB), de acuerdo a lo informado por el promotor del púgil azteca, Ignacio Hu*zar Robles.
Como sedes tentativas se mantienen el Staples Center de Los Ángeles y el Mandalay Bay de Las Vegas. Ante este aplazamiento, debido al poder*o de la televisión de pago por evento en la Unión Americana, el “Diamante” sostendrá su última contienda de 2008 en suelo nacional.
La nueva fecha que maneja el equipo del doble campeón mundial, es el sábado 29 de noviembre, ya sea en Cancún, Quintana Roo; Pachuca, Hidalgo; Morelia, Michoacán o la capital de Chihuahua. Esta última precisamente lleva la delantera en cuanto a negociaciones se refiere, para montar dicha velada de corte internacional.
El probable rival de Mijares, ser*a el puertorriqueño José “Carita” López, quien en 46 peleas en su carrera como profesional acumula 37 victorias (31 KO’s), siete derrotas y dos empates. Su último revés se remonta a 2001, cuando cayó por v*a de la decisión ante Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel, aunque en el décimo episodio, mandó a la lona al sinaloense.
Este boricua inició su carrera como boxeador profesional el 27 de noviembre de 1991. Entre los rivales de renombre que ha enfrentado se encuentran Alberto Jiménez, Carlos Gabriel Salazar, Isidro Garc*a, Mauricio Pastrana y por supuesto Montiel.
Hasta el momento, ha tenido el privilegio de pelear por un t*tulo en 5 ocasiones. La primera vez fue contra el mexicano Alberto “Ratón” Jiménez el primero de junio de 1996, perdiendo por decisión unánime. Dos años más tarde fue hasta Argentina para optar por el t*tulo peso mosca en poder de Carlos Gabriel Salazar, perdiendo dicho combate por puntos.
La siguiente oportunidad de discutir un t*tulo mundial le llegó el 18 de diciembre de 1999 y en esa ocasión fue contra el púgil mexicano Isidro “El Chino” Garc*a, perdiendo por decisión unánime. Para el 10 de febrero de 2001, se enfrentó al colombiano Mauricio “El Pintoso” Pastrana, siendo derrotado nuevamente, para luego sucumbir ante el “Cochulito”.
Recientemente paró en siete asaltos al azteca Oscar “Pajarito” Andrade, en el Coliseo Antonio R. Barceló de Toa Baja, Puerto Rico y en abril pasado se midió al prospecto boxeador dominico-boricua Juan Mercedes, noqueándolo en cuatro episodios. En la actualidad está rankeado tercero en la Organización Mundial de Boxeo (OMB) y noveno de la AMB
La empresa KO Entertainment, desea programar la velada de noviembre en tierras aztecas, un total de tres peleas de campeonato mundial, aunque más adelante se dar*an a conocer los cinturones en juego y los protagonistas de las riñas.
Por lo pronto Mijares goza de vacaciones, aunque tendrá que salir del pa*s para atender dos importantes compromisos. Este fin de semana en Los Ángeles, California, estará presente en el desfile de la comunidad lagunera en aquella región de los Estados Unidos, para que el jueves 18 de septiembre, esté en el Programa KO a las Drogas que organiza la AMB y que tendrá como principal evento una función en el Centro de Convenciones Figaly de la ciudad de Panamá.

Mijares will fight again this year in Nov. in Mexico possibly against Jose Lopez who IMO is a guy you don't want to play around with. Lopez has the experience and has been in there with some tough opponents if the fight comes through Mijares better be ready to fight the full 12 rounds cause Lopez will make him work.
Apparently the Darchinyan-Mijares fight is PPV-Showtime?

But due to the PPV fights in and around the end of the year the new date has yet to be set but the month of Jan. is what Showtime want's...

Was Mijares/ Montiel ever set? This has to happen ! I think Mijares will exploit Vic like a wanna be video star just fresh off the bus in L.A....that uppercut will be laser sighted and footwork will have Vic over reaching all night Imo.
