Reid will waste Lacy
Lets face it, Reid is an awesome fighter who has been dealt a really bad hand by authorities and bad promoters down the years. A couple of slack performances have put him back a bit but I reckon he will be well up for this fight.
Lacy seems to think this is juts a warm-up for Calzaghe but I think he will come seriously unstuck here. Reid is a better fighter than Calzaghe (and should have had the decision against him when they fought) and could cause a massive upset.

Im with you on all counts here...
Reid defo should have got that descision and lacy will get a BIG suprise ;)
Do want Lacy to win though as JC will get his name heard in the US of A.

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
I'm agree with all of this until Jeff puts his trade mark left hook en Reid's chin: lights out!!!

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
I seriously doubt Lacy's going to be putting anyone's lights out. Reid has one of the best chins I've ever seen. If anyone's lights are going out - believe me they're Jeff's.

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
I've seen about the same amount of fights for both but at this moment their really isn't much you can say about Reid, just that he has a decent career and when facing good opponent's he looses (Vicenzo N., Sven O. who by the way only has 6 KO's in his career), and a close loss to Calzaghe.
On the other hand Lacy their is also not much you can say about him with only 19 fights other than he has power and is explosive but so are many other fighter's. Lacy with (15 KO's but who did he KO?). I see this as just another win for Lacy, BUT is that the same script they handed to Reid? Theres been a handfull of surprising loses so far this year?
I on the other hand are slobbering over who will Calzaghe fight next? How about Mikel Kessler no one seems to bring him up, with an impressive 36-0 and (27 KO's).
I like their nicknames more than anything Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy, Robin "Gream Reaper" Reid, Mikel "Viking Warrior" Kessler... We should be in for some great matchup's.. :lickish:

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
I've only seen a couple Lacy fights but he has power in both hands but like Tua and any other big power puncher he can forget to jab or be active at times but he's going to beat Reid.

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
Kessler is da Man. He'll whipe JC's Ass

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
Lacy appears to have a very good chin as well. When he quits on his jab and starts throwing haymakers (an extremely bad habit of his) he tends to be wide open for counter and I've seen him walk through some monster shots to land his own wildly thrown haymakers. He'd be way more dangerous if he stayed under control when he sensed a knockout, He has a good jab and adequate (not good but adequate) defense when he uses it. I don't know that Jeff is someone who could be easily KO'ed. I think a slick boxer could embarass him in the ring, which is ironic since his sparring partner and close friend is Winkky Wright.

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
Lacy knows what he's doing if he spars with Winky Wright

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
Great display exposing Lacy's profile. I agree with u

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
eclectic, what can you say about Mikel Kessler

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
Hate to say it but cant see anything other than a lopsided points win for Lacy, Reid at his best might give him a bit to think about and he might even make it competetive for a few rounds, but ultimately I see Reid being beaten soundly, maybe even stopped, without hitting the deck though ;)

Re: Reid will waste Lacy
Not that much noise around Kessler but... he's undefeated and has tremendous power on both hands and most of all he have great conditioning and know how to cut the ring.
