some rumours flying round that Guzman-Cambell may be called off

apparently Guzman had to be taken to hospital after the weigh in to rehydrate as he was drained after trying to make weight, his team are said to be seriously considering withdrawing him as it could be a big risk to his health,

if this is the case Joan has fucked his career big time

I dont think Guz even tried to make the weight so this is just a story to make him look better . He was 3lbs over . didnt bother to try again . He's done this before and he isnt a big lightweight so I think he just couldnt be ars*d and wanted an unfair advantage. I think he will be stronger than Campbell who had to go through the pain of making weight unlike him .

I have no idea what to make of the weight thing now. How hard could he have really tried to drain himself if he couldn't make lower than 138.5?. It would really seem ridiculous that he couldn't get lower than that unless he neglected to control his weight for the entire camp and just figured he could lose enough in a couple days before the weigh in since he was moving up? Whatever the case Guzman obviously dropped the ball on this whole fight and really serves Campbell a slap in the face here one way or another. If these rumours are even remotely true a fired up pissed off Nate Campbell is an extreme health risk for Guzman. And if they aren't then it's just more extremely disrespectful behaviour towards Campbell and his camp.

well iv read he was 148 lb when he stepped in against soto on the night, so if he rehydrated 18lbs since the weigh its obvious his struggles to keep his weight down,

Ah shit what a shame. If he really was coughing up blood and in that bad a state though then obviously they shouldn't fight.

I can't understand this though. I mean if he was a huge lightweight struggling to make the weight it could be understandable but he's a featherweight moving up :confused:

The problem was, Guzman arrived at camp weighing 170 pounds, and he had to loose 35 pounds in 6 weeks. That is going to take a massive toll on anybody!!

Well that sucks. Hope he's alright; but what a fool.

Millions of fans protesting the move of a 135 lbs. champ to fight in 147 lbs. division because that champ is "too small"....

Now we have a 130 lbs. champ who can't make the 135 lbs. limit scrapping the biggest fight in his career and pissing millions of fans...
