Trying to pick the ten best of all time is a difficult challenge. It all depends on the yardsticks used.
My ten best: Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Sugar Ray Robinson, Harry Greb,
Henry Armstrong, Roberto Duran, Tony Canzoneri, Willie Pep, Eder Jofre,
and Jimmy Wilde.
Muhammed Ali was great, but more flash and style than substance.

When he lost his flash and style, he sometimes got the job done,
but he payed a heavy price. In some cases, he even received gift decisions e.g. Jimmy Young.
The only problem i have with these so called 10 best fighters lists, is that the boxers people put in there lists just exactly how many fights have you actually seen of that paticular fighter ? I have only ever seen one Willie Pep fight along with highlights, i've never seen a Harry Greb fight i don't think the footage even exists.........Quote:
