Kevin Mitchell has promised Ricky Burns he will be ringside on Friday night - and says he is more than happy to face the Scotsman if he wins the Commonwealth super-featherweight title. Yesterday Burns blasted British champ Mitchell and said he would be too scared to watch him challenge for the Commonwealth belt against Osumana Akaba at Bethnal Green's York Hall..

Yeah i got a lot of time for kevin too,like his honesty also and he's Proper as they say round my way.
Lived in Khans shadow for a few years and was more or less shut out of the limelight but he never once moaned and just done the dirty side quietly and very well,that is where the appeal comes from and something Khan could learn from;)
Well if his hand is dodgy what difference will it make hitting Burns as opposed to anyone else? ;D
As it goes, it's hardly surprising FW will wan't to play extra safe with Mitchell after what happened to Khan.. and Enzo.. and Joe giving him the spanish

Mitchell should go after cook and work his way up that way. He will be the man to beat at 130 if he can do that, have a belt undeafted and a very good fighter. After the Johansen fight i can say hes a great prospect for the future!
I like Mitchell, a kid with potential and hopefully a good future
