Advice & Pointers Please?
I'm 47 and haven't boxed since I was a youth, but I started training again a few months ago to get back into shape. I'm looking to join a boxing club soon but wanted to get some advice & pointers from you guys out there before since I don't really have anyone else knowledgeable enough at hand to ask.
Here's a link to youtube where I posted a double end bag workout and there's also another two vids of me doing maizebag & heavy bag drills. Please feel free to criticize and/or comment freely, I just need some input from more experienced guys as to what things I need to work on the most. Thanks in advance and God bless!!

Actually dude, for 47 you dont look bad,the only thing I saw that immediatly caught my eye,is your not comfortable taking risks with the double end bag lest it make you look bad,you pull away or refuse to double, and dont commit shots that would realy make it sproing

Thanks TM for the comment:)
In that particular DEB drill I posted I was working mostly on trying to stay at outter range limits, stepping in to unload & back out again. Other times I do a different drill working much closer to the bag for infighting and others I mix it up. Maybe that's what gave you that impression?. Either way I'll keep a close eye out to make sure it doesn't become a bad habit.
Thanks again!

Get diff. music. It sounds like you want to disco dance or sumthin. Unless of course you do...in which case...good luck and my apologies.
Good fukkin God! how old are you again?
No restrictions on learning this sport. Age or otherwise. But FFS, what in the hell is that music about?

Both the Andrews and the Elbows sisters. In harmony. :)
I'm just messing with ya. Honestly, regardless of age, this sport has much to offer. Glad you saw my comment for what it was. Goofing around. I do respect most any person who is working on themselves, in an effort to increase a few lengths on the time line, or maybe do a few more laps in the pool, on the bag...knowing what it is to feel the benefits of working out. These things are definately there. You are lucky to know that.
I still think your music sux. :p

Can I say well done for a start great to see.One little thing in fact its Massive, the eqiupment you are using is telling you what to do rather than the other way round. Why because your not moving your feet particulary on the maze its your Guvnor where you should be, you dictate what youre doing by moving not by moving the bag. Enjoy.

Naw Scrap and I are saying the same things from different angles, your not commiting to shots that might miss, because they might miss.Screw it take the shot, your letting the bag dictate, and you arent dictating,if you miss,so what, jack it back quick enough and try again.Ive missed on plenty of double end bag hooks in my day,but I learned and earned off it.
But again, for a guy whose been out of it forever and is 47 as Scrap said, well done bro
Re: Advice & Pointers Please?
Looking a very young 47, particularly as you claim to be ghetting back into shape.
