My Barrera - Marquez Scorecard.

First off a great fight to watch.

The fight was competitive throughout but Marquez was more agressive and landed the harder shots. The last 3 rounds cost Barrera the fight in my opinion, he clearly tired in the last three rounds and i have no idea how Lederman scored the 11th for Barrera. I also noticed that Lampley was very focused on everything Barrera did but did not play much attention to everything Marquez was doing.

No one has any opinion on this fight ?

I had Barrera nudging it and I started a thread about it after the first. I could be wrong but I think about a third agreed with me and two thirds thought Marquez won. Memory is hazy there though.

It was a good scrap, and if only that knockdown had been scored and Barrera restrained himself a little when Marquez was down.....wouldve made it look far better for Marco.

The knockdown was a bad error by Nady and what i would of done was reward Barrera with the KD but also deduct the point making it a 9-8 round for Barrera. Barrera could of won the fight but he didn't do much work at all in the late rounds for me to give it to him.

I had Barrera winning it too . Statistically he landed more punches and he scored the only knockdown .

I don't think Compubox is accurate enough to base your score of a fight on. Marquez was more effective with his agression and landed the harder blows and from watching the fight it appeared he was throwing more than Barrera also especially in the championship rounds. The Knockdown also was not counted as a KD even though i thought it should have been.

I had Marquez winning it as well, but by a round or two. That is with my counting the knockdown so I had pretty much the same score as you. I felt Barrera was doing better early then MArquez, but he wasn't able to maintain the pace.

I had JMM up by 2 points...

It was certainly close for me.

Close fight that could of gone either way, wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

Nadys error caused a 4pt swing.

I had Barrera winning by a couple of points. I would need to see the fight again to do a scorecard. Anyone know where I could get it ?

If they fought again now, Marquez would win MUCH easier.

It's been a while since I've had talked about this fight. I personally had Marquez winning by a slim margin. I agree with Pugilistic about Barrera slowing down in the championship rounds though.

For me Barrera had it, but just
