Marten's friend at the park just got hit by a snouted cobra. Bilbo you say how slow the venom works, but some of them are very fast acting. No pics but I'm sure there will be. I know a guy died 2 years ago 35 minutes after being tagged by a snouty.

How ironic that Marty puts on his big 'showing off in an aquarium under the guise of helping the children' event and doesn't get so much as a tongue tickle yet whilst he's away one of his assistants gets bit and (hopefully) seriously wounded.

The media crew covering Marty's 'event' must be rolling their eyes. For weeks they waited for his idiocy to be rewarded with a fatal night-time attack but they got nothing, completely unawares that the real action was taking place back at Marty's base :rolleyes:

Ah well hope he pulls through. What happens to the snake? Do they die after administering their venom like bees or can they live to sting again?

Honestly no, I'm guessing snakes can sting again but maybe some of the more toxic ones die after biting? :confused:

I'm not the herpophile remember, you're the one with the intimate knowledge of all things serpent.

I guess scorpions die after stinging as well?

Of course snakes don't die after releasing venom; that's a pretty stupid mechanism to have. Their 1st meal would be their "Last Supper".:rolleyes:
