Need helps with combination. Any suggestions?

Yes, I know what I just said seems like a Boxing 101 for a novice beginner. However, I'm not so proud and so egotistical as to not ask this question. I don't spar or go to the gym anymore, because of work and other issues, but I certainly don't want to get rusty, so I do hit the heavybag often. So here is my question.

When I was sparring and in the gym, I threw a different (perhaps different style) of the Jab-Cross. However when I threw it, it was easy for my opponent to counter with a Cross. No, my defense wasn't down, but the time increment that it took to throw my Jab and then the Cross, left me open. Here is an example of how I typically threw it:

Note that this guy somewhat angled his head offline to the right when he threw the Jab (and he twisted his hip), and returned to throw the Cross. It was good that he was using head movement, but he could have been open between the Jab and Cross because of the extra time the Jab took to land with the extra rotation.

Here is the Jab, Cross that I think would be most effective, but I want your input on which of these work the best or which ones you think works the best. Note on this one, the Jab is not thrown with the additional twist of the hip, it is thrown straight without head movement. The cross is thrown correctly.

Which one is most efficient and probably will land without a possible counter? After answering this, I have one last question. This concerns the Jab, Jab, Cross. Do you throw the first two Jabs hard moving in (like a push Jab) or do you throw two fast Jabs and unload on the Cross? Thanks a lot, for whoever answers :)

The first one i think would work better if they were comming in at you and you threw that cross over their extended jab after beating them to it with your jab; which would have their extended jab disrupted and moving slightly away from your cross just in reaction to it being beaten to the draw:
That way the rotate reaches you into target and the slight pause because of it and the head movment for no reason on the over extention,are working for you not against you.

What ever the next video is, it will work in some situations better than in others anyway whatever it is,you just got to know which ones work where
and ustilize them all in your thoughts first, then your shadow boxing,then your sparring, so you got those varying bullets all ready to fire in real time when the right situation unfolds.

You need to find what works for you no one can tell you.You have to be comforatable when you throwing try moving your head to the left when you throw practice in the mirror with whatever style you decide but to be honest you need to spar if you wanna be any use i spar 5 days a week its the best way to learn

When you jab, you are stepping with your left foot and leaving your right foot behind. Push off your right foot and jab simultaneously with the movement of the left foot; in the video you are stepping, then jabbing. That "step" should be more of a glide and when the left foot settles, the jab should be fully extended. Its a fencing type step. Watch Ricardo Lopez.
Your right hand is slow and telegraphed because you leave your right foot behind, Thus it takes a long time to turn your body to throw the punch. Bring your right foot up right away- it shortens your base, gives you a faster right hand and leaves your feet in a position where it is possible to maintain balance and throw more punches.
Finally, that "head movement", leaning the head the the right as you jab is why you are getting hit with right hand counters. Your body should be twisting to the left as you throw your right; your chin, being on your chest should do the same. This will get you out of the way of the right hand counter.
