anyone else really impressed with cleverly?
dont know if anyone actually saw the fight, i didnt but from what ive read and it being only his 13th fight to beat tony oakey as convincingly as the story is told is major good news for britains boxing. i was at the oakey francies fight and francies looked dire for the first 8 rounds, prehaps him next for nathen? to test his chin properly. i just think to beat someone of oakeys standered in his 13th fight hes looking at world championship fight by his 18th. prehaps im wrong and the wheels will come off but hes a good kid at university aswell lol. big things to come , i will be following his career closely from now.
Re: anyone else really impressed with cleverly?
I thought Oakey wasn't his usual self. I think he took the fight at short notice.. which would explain why he didn't seem to have the workrate, had a fat-ish belly, and was probably still suffering from the Francis defeat.
Cleverly won the second-half because he's fresh. It doesn't look like he punches very hard. Don't see him anywhere near world class.
I'd back Dean Francis to ko him.

im impressed with cleverley he has got a fair way to go to world level but he is coming along nicely, hes defence and workrate are good and hes a good combination puncher, needs to start using his height and reach more though, met him at a few boxing shows hes a nice down to earth lad to.
