Hopkins-Taylor 3 at 170... Thoughts?

Really this would only be looked at if Calzaghe beats Roy and retires, or if Roy pulls it off and he and Hopkins can't work out a purse split again. Both very likely scenarios though, really. Next Taylor has to beat Lacy, but that's another likely outcome imo. I have little doubt personally that Hopkins would do alot better at this weight than he did at 160 against Jermain, what does everyone else think? It's certainly an appealing option for Hopkins if he can't get Roy, avenge the losses and all. Im thinking it's more likely to happen than a Chad Dawson fight. Id pay for it...

I dont think him and jermaine was a weight problem. It was a problem of bhop turning it on so late and then still not doing enough.

At any weight, a "slightly" more active bhop wins the fight. He was still doing 1 punch hold against JT and you see how close that was. The judges just seemed to like a busier guy

I found both fight's boring and frustrating because it was obvious that Hopkins could've won comfortably if had had gone through the gears like he did in rounds 9 through 12 in fight 1.

Wouldn't wanna watch a 3rd match
