I still felt he could have done something in the doemstic scene IMO. But his heart ain't there. Ah well. Good luck to him.

Gary got messed about more than most Im afraid. He was better than that.
I remember when he first came on the scene at LM, there were a lot of guys from Britain which were pretty good (below world level but there were qute a few), I remember guys like Steve Roberts, Richard Williams, Takaloo all around at the same time, but nothing really ever came from it in terms oif rivalries. Gary outlasted most of them but should IMO have stayed at LM, but it does seem that his heart left the sport a long time ago. He's a decent speaker so maybe we'll see him as a pundit from now on.
Yeah lesson should be strike whilst the irons hot , they could have made some good domestic fights . I think the only ones to come off were Wayne vs Tak and Samuelsa vs Richards .Quote:
