Berto, Cintron and Soto-Karass are the three most likely opponents for Cotto's return

This is from a couple different places, boxingscene, espn so it looks like its got some validity at least. Obviously it may not be any of these three but it looks like it probably will be.

Soto-Karass would be the easiest probably unless you really don't rate Cintron. I kind of like him but he's looked a bit poor lately IMO and I don't see that he has the natural ability of either Cintron or Berto.

Cintron has enough power to make Cotto fans nervous but I'd definitely favor Cotto. And I think Berto is being vastly overrated by some because of his speed but that would be an interesting fight.

Thoughts or picks?

Again this could all be pointless as it may turn out to be none of these guys (Rocky Juarez is probably available) but at least its not a Calzaghe thread.

If it's Berto or Cintron, Cotto doesn't play around. That's why I like him, because he would take that kind of a fight putting in danger his rematch with Margarito.

I hope he bounces back HARD!

It wont be berto im afraid as berto will have to fight his mandatory luis collazo early next year, collazo has waited a while and that fight will hopefully go down january.. so because cotto wants this tune up for an apparent margarito fight mid '09 berto wont be available..

Imo cintron is the best bet.

all the articles have Berto's camp as being interested in the fight. I don't know how it would work out as in when it's scheduled, Collazo issues, etc.

Soto Karass is a tough mother.Also a stable mate of Margarito right ? Hmmmm.Glad to see Cotto getting back,I think he comes back nice.For all of Cintrons flaw's....something is telling me Cotto may want to seek another for 1st fight back?

If he wants to rematch Tony, he would be better off fighting Soto-Karass. Soto-Karass has the same style as Tony, the have the same trainer and look like copies of each other in the ring. I think Tony has a little more power, but Karass has a tiny bit more boxing ability.

I'd be happy with any of these guys. Cintron would probably make the most money tho.
