I think Angulo gives Chavez Jr a much needed beating, and will take him out with no problem.
And before anyone jumps on my back for wanting to see Jr take a beating, the reason I say that, is because it seems to me, that Jr doesn't take his career, as seriously as he should. He doesn't seem to have the type of commitment that he needs in order to have a truly great career.
A good loss will force him to make some choices.
Has Chavez Jr. fought a big puncher?
I can see Chavez beating Angulo. But I don't think he will. Angulo is clearly the hungrier fighter
HHhhhmmm 14 fights, 11 KOs, no losses, big puncher? I can see him beating Jr. as well, sure, why not? If he doesn't, I can see lots of bitter people in here after the fight:rolleyes:.
With that Chavez's name and that punching power, everyone and their mom is going to want to make a fight with him.
I take it you've never seen Angulo fight if you're questioning him.
The guy is a wrecking ball, he's like a young Margarito, just punches throws punches nonstop and isn't afraid to brawl.
If he fights Cahvez Jr you can expect him to completely batter Chavez into collapse by about round 5 or 6.
No way Chavez takes this fight, he's going to get killed.
I so hope they make this fight ;D
I'll give Chavez Jr. some credit for taking this fight. With that being said, he won't take it. Angulo is a dangerous fighter and protected fighters don't fight people like that.
This forum would go nuts if he were to get knocked out...
I simply don't see Arum letting this happen. At least not at this point. He is making a decent sum of money off having Chavez Jr. fight clubbers on pay per view, and he is too smart to let a cash cow in the ring with a killer like Angulo. I mean, the guy was taken to the limit by Matt Vanda, for goddsake. I think it would be an exciting fight for as long as it lasted (probably Angulo TKO in the mid rounds), but I'd be very surprised if it came off right now.
I think a more evenly matched and equally exciting fight to make would be the Duddy-Hearns winner vs. Chavez Jr.
I thought Chavez jr's camp were steering towards a fellow fatty match-up with Gelatinous Camacho Jr ??? Young Chavez is a cashcow :-X on the PPV shows.I think Angulo may walk him down, enduring a body assault.Imo...Chavez jr. needs Angulo more, not the other way around.
Actually, even though Angulo is clearly a better fighter, it is Angulo who wants Chavez Jr. (he is the one calling for the fight). Because of his name, Jr. draws a lot of money on Arum's PPV circuit. That's why Angulo wants the fight. Arum won't give it to him because he knows his man will lose and he wants to ride that gravy train as long as he can. I think you are right, though, about Chavez being steered towards Camacho Jr. Would surely draw a big PPV audience just on the two names.
