Is David Haye the the Herbie Hide of the HW's
He reminds me of Herbie Hide.Barret is no where near a big heavyweight but he was still alot bigger than Haye. Hide was a small HW with speed and good power but no chin very much like Haye but i think Haye chin me be a bit better.
When Haye comes up against a big fighter i think i might struggle i hope iam wrong,He is good for the division hes a fighter thats goes looking for the ko and at the moment theres not many that are.
Re: Is David Haye the the Herbie Hide of the HW's
I don't think his chins that bad, when he's been knocked down it's been temple shots that would have floored a lot of fighters. And he gets back up from them too. BUT he's still to take a big heavy wieghts punch who's throwing with a lot of power.
Where I doubt David Haye most is his stamina. In a hard fight over 12 rounds he'll be out on his feet.

I think Haye is a lot better than Herbie, and has already accomplished a lot more in his career by becoming undisputed champ.

i think it will be better at heavy as he has prob learnt to pace himself better since the Thompson fight and he did have weight issues in the past.
as for hide... his chin and recovery skills are piss poor.
the only thing they really share is small and fast heavy ;)
Re: Is David Haye the the Herbie Hide of the HW's
It depends on how often he allows himself to be hit and what happens when he does taste some leather from the heavyweights.

Excellent observation. A muscular and highly wound up fighter like Haye could well end up fatuigued over the course of a 12 rounder.
