UFC middleweight champion and arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet Anderson Silva Began training today with world-class trainer Freddie Roach. "He came in a couple days ago and I introduced him to Manny and the other trainers. We picked out a time and tonight he's gonna come in at 6:00 and start training with me," stated Roach.

I think it's actually extremely interesting to see what kind of things he may pick up from Roach, as well as how well he could impliment them in MMA. Obviously it can't hurt any mma fighter to hone their boxing skills further, and Silva is already extremely well rounded and strong in other aspects, this could only help imo.

Roach has actually been training Arslovsky for sometime now...
The day I went to see Pac train, Arslovsky had just left the gym.
this will make Silva even more dangerous in the cage if thats posible lol.
As a kickboxer who has taken up boxing afterwards, it fucks up your range, and planting your feet doesn't work well without shoes on. I think it would help with your defensive abilites, and punching technique, but even then sometimes blocking like a boxer a hurts a lot when you try to block kicks, and sometimes doing things boxers do end up with you being wide up open for a knee or a kick.
