Ricky Hatton and the changes
I thought he fought a lot better last night he was very controlled he beat Paulie easy he outboxed the boxer i think the changes in his camp getting Mayweather in is just what he needed Floyd has made all the difference he was a lot smoother he was moving his head he didn't get hit much at all it was a good fight i enjoyed this version of Ricky Hatton. What did you guys think?
Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
Less grappling on his part. He improved a bit.
Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
Also his stamina was loads better the running in the mountains paid off he looked no different in round 11 to what he did in round 1 in his last few fights he has been blowing from round 8 onwards

Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
i think he looked better than his last fight.
but his defense didnt change that much or at all. i dont see a big name for him at 140 unless pacman fights him there.
Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
He is deluding himself if he thinks that he can fight at Welterweight because of these new improvements. He better hope that Pac wins otherwise he is going back to welter to get beat again by Mayweather or ODH.
Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
He was a bit better, I didn't see a lot change ways, he used his jab a bit, he was more controlled and i think i seen him try and move his head once or twice.
I have slagged him off a lot in the past, i was quit pleased to see him doing new things and sure the longer he is with Sr the more he will improve, but it doesn't change the fact that there is nothing mayweather Sr can do to get him any chance of beating any of the top WW's.
Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
He didn't look very much different, and I think his old style would have worked perfectly here, but him being able to take the half step back after rushing in really was effective.

He beat Paulie more emphatically than Cotto did. Also I think in the moments he fought his fight he was dominating Collazo, he just needed to make little adjustments on defense that would have made that fight completely different. Obviously Margarito is too much for him, but guys like Cotto have their own vulnerabilities. I mean if Corley could hurt Cotto maybe so could Hatton.
Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
I didn't like his changes very much i mean they are better for him but diving in face first putting them on the ropes and killing the body was his thing. If he is going to change his style he should change his name also IMO.

But just to add, Please stay at 140 if at all possible because RH aint the same fighter when moving up ... not at all....

Re: Ricky Hatton and the changes
Hatton also was picking Paulie's jab off well with his right hand then getting his own left jab off now ive never seen Hatton use his hands to pick off peoples shots he normally uses his face and his stamina was 100% better.
