Anyone here begining to appreciate Arthur Abraham?
I was not to keen on AA before but he has sort of grown on me. It would be nice to see him fight here in the states as well. Against who?
Pavlik? That would be an interesting fight but after Pavlik's poor showing vs B-Hop, we just don't know what kind of mental state Pavlik is in and B-Hop has some pretty decent defense and footwork and so does AA, so I doubt this fight happens anytime soon but would love to see it somewhere down the line as B-Hop told the world that Pavlik is the man at 160 and will remain the man at that weight. Whatcha boys and girls think?

I have been big on Abraham for quite some time now. Admittedly, he has a tendency to fight in spurts and to look pretty uninspired at times, but he can pop and he has a pretty sound defence too.
Anyway, what I wanted to say here: He should unify against Sturm first. It would be a megafight in Germany, and it would be a good fight for the rest of us too. Another option is Mundine - that would be interesting imo - or perhaps a move up to 168.

I have only watched him fight for a couple years now. I love his punching power, it is P4P stuff there. When he puts on a rush stuff usually happens ;D
He does lay around a lot which may cost him against Sturm or Pavlik.
Re: Anyone here begining to appreciate Arthur Abraham?
I am a fan of AA....In fact I did a thred about him lnot long ago about him being underappreciated and under estimated and no one seemed to give him any props but myself and one or two others...
AA is certainly the guy to watch out for at 160....He may be the man at 160...I would certainly enjoy a showdown between him and Kelly...

Re: Anyone here begining to appreciate Arthur Abraham?
AA is the goods and IMO is a more proven commodity than Pavlik... I mean Im not saying AA beats Hop but it certainly wouldnt have been a Boxing lesson..
Re: Anyone here begining to appreciate Arthur Abraham?
Not really no i don't like his style at all its pretty boring to watch, i respect him as a fighter, and i respect the fact he went to the USA to revenge his controversial win over Edison Miranda. Which means he is willing to take the big fights, but as for his style ? hell no sorry i can't appreciate it at all.

I'm in total agreement. I think he would give Pavlik all he could handle and then some.

Really not to sure about that call. First off at 170 he would probably not carry the same punch or be as effective as was the case with Pavlik. That aside even, he is basically flatfooted, has a low output and goes completely on the defensive for periods of time, not real fast and relies on his power. Sounds like just the recipe for a Hopkins clinic to me, I think he'd probably get schooled in that fight. Would probably pick Pavlik over him in a close fight at 160 to but we'll have to see how Kelly looks again I guess.

Why is AA a more proven commodity than Pavlik? It took Pavlik one fight and seven (?) rounds to knock Miranda the f*ck out. It took AA, one broken jaw and two fights to do the same. I may not disagree with you, but explain yourself.
I'm a fan of AA, but I agree with this post for the most part. The more interesting fight to me is one with Sturm in Germany. That is more of a pick em' fight.
At 160, Pavlik would throw a lot more punches than AA. AA would have to be more active, which I'm not sure he would be willing to do or successful at. It would be a good fight.
