WORLD champion super-flyweight Vic Darchinyan has signed on for a $2 million grudge match against Mexican nemesis Jorge Arce in the US next year.

The title bout is expected to be staged in Los Angeles or Las Vegas on February 7, with American promoter Gary Shaw tipped to announce the deal with US television giant Showtime tomorrow.





This could mean also that Nonito Donaire will take on Fernando Montiel?

Darchinyan style is made for Arce. The way Vic keeps his elbows up is an open invitation for Arce. Arce is going to puinish his rib cage.

A while back before Arce fought Mijares I think Arce would have beat him.

Today I have to say Vic is going to spark him out.
I'd hate to see it... :( shit I hate to say it...

Looking at Arce he's got waaay to many miles now and his defense (if you want to call it that) has gotten worst and worst as fights wear on.
He got hit way to much vs. Concepcion a fighter whos pretty straight forward and is not crafty.

Someone like Vic who faints often and is crafty with his punching is surely to land even more. One things for sure this fight has FOTY written allover it. If it happens.

Arce is an exciting fighter but I don't think he will over the big and skilled boys in his division.

Vic mauls him. Wins by knockout in the late rounds.

arce is getting ktfo ;D but i hope he leaves vic with a broken nose atleast. :D

should be a good scrap while it last.

Vic by KO....too odd, too strong.

Vic may be odd but he has adapted extremely well to all the criticism and the actual necessity to change after the Donaire loss.
I am no big fan of Vic, but you have to hand it to guys who lose big time then comeback and KO good quality opposition as Vic has done.
Arce will be in big trouble here as he will walk right into Vic's hammer blows.
For a little guy Vic hits harder than anyone out there from 118 down.

Think that the odd Darchinyan while knock him out he is on his way to being the best aussie fighter if he keeps on winning and being on top.
