In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
Zab would beat Hatton! who can honestly say they think Hatton as a Welter weight could beat, Clottey, Cotto, Baldomir or Mayweather?
We already know he cannot beat Mayweather, stands no chance against the middleweight Clottey; Get's pummeled by Cotto and Baldomir is to big and strong for Hatton.
So looking at Judah's losses the don't look as bad now.
I mean Judah was 143 fighting against Clottey at 160!!
That is more of a mismatch than Pac Oscar! as Pac usually comes into the ring about 145!!!
Zab is really just an idiot who has been fighting in the wrong weight catogery for ages.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
please tell me this is a windup or your on some kind of strong medication???
"We already know he cannot beat Mayweather, stands no chance against the middleweight Clottey; Get's pummeled by Cotto and Baldomir is to big and strong for Hatton."
Hattons never ever fought clottey, cotto or baldomir how do we "know" these things??
Seriously if your not high get yourself to a doctors fast!!
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
Zabs got a chance for a few rounds but then slowly but surely Ricky busts him up.
This would be a massive opportunity for Zab, history shows us that he'll blow it.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
Why on earth would you put Ricky in with those fighters ??
They are ALL welterweights. Ricky is a LIGHT-welterweight.
Carlos Baldomir is actually a light-middleweight. TWO divisions above Hatton.
It's like making a thread title and saying Enzo Maccarinneli couldn't complete with Klitchkso, Peter and Valuev.
He's in the division below  Jesus, what a pointless thread.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
I'm not putting Hatton in those fight; I'm just highlighting that we should not discount the potential for Zab to dominate at 140 as the same guys that beat him would more than likely beat anyone at Welter!
I mean just like Hatton Zab has for a long time been a Light Welter fighting at Welter.
The Key difference being Hatton was smart enough to realise and move back down Zab was not.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
He hasn't been in the wrong weight class. Zab was the undisputed champ at welter. The blip against Baldomir was down to him being a mental midget not size. Apart from that he lost to Floyd and Cotto. No disgrace in that. Clotty beat him because their careers are heading in different directions.
Like Memphis, I would give him a chance against Hatton early.. after that, all Hatton has to do is keep the pressure on and Zab will almost certainly fold. Probably try and get himself disqualified.

That's what I was thinkin, if that fight makes it past 3 you could see one the dirtiest performances by a fighter in recent memory.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
If you are going to base your opinion solely on guys who beat Zab
I remember a little Austrailian Fighter inviting Zab to dance once
That same fighter Ricky put in to retirment
Zab had no business at welter weight just like Ricky, but none of that matters At 140 Hatton stops Zab in 8 if they were to fight next it would be on cuts

My problem with that is, it definately was not the same fighter!! The Kostya that beat Zab would have in my opinion beaten Hatton.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
At any weight, Zab is a decent fighter. But he has a certain amount of potential that has gone untapped his whole career, and I can't see that changing against Hatton.. I think he could have beaten Hatton and done a lot better in his other losses. But their is some block in him giving that 100% that informed boxing fans can see hidden inside him.. I believe it's that untapped potential that everyone can see that keeps getting him these big fights over and over again, but it's the fact he never taps into that potential that makes him come up short against good opponents..
How much he taps into determines how well he does against Hatton, but the fact history has shown we will never see the best of Zab, and often we seen much less (when he implodes on himself during fights), would lead anyone to believe that Hatton would always have a decent shot at Zab...
Zab is never a sure thing in my eyes..
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
Here is an idea for a thread, lets talk about Hatton fighting lite weights & lite welters instead of people that are too big...
That would make a refreshing change :lolololol:
But for the record anyone at 140 for Hatton...
:badass::badass::badass:

Actually I think Hatton would beat Kostya in his prime. Kostya has always had trouble with swarmers.

That's a strong statement considering how close the fight was before the end.

Vince Phillips was a swarmer and he beat a young Kostya Tszyu, as for the topic. Zab Judah only has a chance in the early rounds, and theres no way i can see Zab Judah getting Ricky Hatton out early.
Because although Ricky Hatton can be hurt, he has often showed good survival instincts and a good enough chin. At Jr Welterweight he would break up Zab Judah like Miguel Cotto did at Welterweight.
Re: In my opinion Zab beats Ricky.
I find it funny how all the anti-hatton gang list people heavier than Hatton and say he couldn't beat them. Why don't you list someone in his division he wouldn't be able to beat?
Oh, yeah.. there isn't no one. Bradley would get beat down.. and he's probably the closest rival Ricky has now at light welter.
Seriously.. it would be like me saying Joe Calzaghe wouldn't be able to defeat Samuel Peter. We all know this, so it wouldn't be worth me saying it. Ricky has never claimed to be the best p4p at 147, so why do people blast him saying he'd get beat by all these welterweights..
On topic: Judging by his last fight? Zab wouldn't stand a chance in hell. Lacked motivation, lacked the intensity and he definately lacked the confidence. All of which Hatton is thriving on right now.
EDIT: I just realised I've said near enough exactly what lefty has.. I guess we're on the same wave link on the subject.
