Re: Pickering vs Appleby!!
Appleby won by UD and retained his Featherweight belt.Appleby was'nt too pleased with his own performance. He looked a little tired in round 9.Good win,at least he admitted his poor performance!
Re: Pickering vs Appleby!!
saw him in one of his first fights, looked hot for thre future should be on track to a world title by the time hes 25. hopefully sooner if he has the ability which it appears he does
Re: Pickering vs Appleby!!
They both looked very ordinary.
Re: Pickering vs Appleby!!
Appleby world title by 25??
You serious mate, the guy is an average domestic fighter hes the sort of fighter who will probably not even win the British title out right, he is no way near world class.

Pickering landed some fairly decent shots flush on Appleby last night, so at least we know he isn't going to go all Amir Khan on us. He looked big at the weight, and strong compared to the upwardly mobile Pickering (weight, not career!). He's only 21, and he's got time to develop yet. Hard to judge him as Pickering was extremely negative, and when he got into a bit of bother in the 9th he weathered the storm. I'm gonna give him a few fights before writing him in or ruling him out even on the euro stage.

Spot on bud.We all know that Appleby can fight better as he as shown that before and Pickering is always a hard fighter to fight against. At least Appleby admitted his performance was a bit poor.He was'nt pleased with the way things went. It's always good when boxers admit straight away that they did'nt fight as good as they should have.Credit to Appleby fighting Pickering.Pickering is a pretty good name on a boxers win list even known Pickering is'nt sharp and skillful as he once was.
